Benefit Porefesional review

So, the Benefit Porefessional has been all the hype recently; And with me being a sucker for anything raved about, I of course had to see for myself what all the fuss was about. I will hold my hands up and admit, I'm a bit of a primer hater, and I do snarl at the first sight of a primer, but this product was so darn hyped, I was left with no option but to investigate.
So we all know the sole reason behind the primer is to keep face makeup on that little bit longer, create a smoother base to apply foundation.. Blah blah blah. But did this live up to it's hype? Not for me, sorry!
Maybe if I wasn't already anti-primer, and wasn't expecting too much, I would have gotten on with it a bit more. As a base, to blur out pores and what not; great! Did the trick. As a primer - No way! In fact I found it made my make up separate, and it didn't last as long as if I hadn't had put a primer on. I'm not too sure if it was the amount of oil in the product; another disappointing factor, but it really did nothing but make my base go all greasy and separate. However, it was surprisingly lightweight, as it had claimed to be. I'm still in two minds weather or not to keep or bin. It does make a lovely base for makeup, but it doesn't keep my base on for as long, unless I use a powder throughout the day, and we all know that amount of effort wont be coming from me.
I'll keep using it for shorter days, to get my moneys worth, but I was a bit let down! Let me know what you think about the Porefessional primer!

  1. I found exactly the same as you! And I feel that, unfortunately, lots of people waste their money on this as it's massively raved about. I also found that it did nothing for my base...it's strange as it used to work so well for me, but recently, since it's become a bit warmer, it seems to just slip off my face. Very weird!

    1. It might be that it's warmer why it doesn't work for me, and my skin is more oily, but I thought a primer should make your make up stay on, not slip off :( I'm so gutted as it's not that cheap either xx
