For me, lipsticks are one of those things that ties a face together! The cherry on top of the cake, the snow on the top of a mountain, the Ryan Gosling on top of... Okay you get the point! They just really make that little bit more of a difference to the face, even the nudes! When it comes to lipsticks, I'm a bit of a fussy Faye; I go through phases of colours and finishes, however there are colours and finishes that I will not step near! Like bright pinks, and super glossy finishes for example. So choosing a lipstick, you're committing a whole £24 to is kind of a big deal!
I've only ever owned one other Chanel lipstick, witch I did a swap with on Depop for a pallet; and it all went wrong - moral of the story, I really wouldn't trust Depop; Anyways, I did adore that lipstick, but it was just a bit too glossy for me! So I wanted something a bit more solid and a bit more matt. And choosing online isn't the most easiest. But as I am in my 'Anything that has even a tint of orange is good enough for me' phase I opted for this incredibly beautiful lipstick in the shade Incandescent; a very bright red, but more on the orange side of reds. I don't know where my red lipsticks have disappeared too, but I seem to be missing a few, so I really wanted to add to the gang I've gotten all ready, and have something I wear not so often, but when I do it's really special and I feel like Britney at the VMA's 2003!It has a very matt finish, very, very opaque, and last super duper long on the lips without drying or seeping into the lips!
So all in all I'm pretty darn pleased with my purchase, and if you're in the same lipstick boat as I was in, I definitely recommend trying this out!
Love Meg xxx
