I always like to be a pretty positive person when it comes to beauty products, even if I don't get on with them I do give them the benefit of the doubt; but it is very rear I find a product and I'm absolutely blown away! But, I'm absolutely blown away! If I could sum up everything good; Justin Timberlake, birthday cake and country music and give it a name, I would use it to describe the Alpha H Essential Hydration Cream. You know shit gets real when you throw in JT!
So it's not like me to be pressured by samples, but one sample of this stuff was all it took to purchase the full size. I got it free with a Cult Beauty order I'd made a while back, and kept it in my little 'sample drawer', but as my former Bobbi Brown moisturiser had ran out, I'd only had light moisturisers, so I needed a thicker one to tackle my dry skin; And that's where this comes in.
Usually with skin care it takes a while to really notice a difference, but with this my skin started to look a lot more hydrated, dewy, and had a bit more life injected to it. Obviously I didn't believe it was the cream, as nothing works that fast, but it actually was, witch took me by utter surprise. So what is it? I hear you say. Well it's a hydration cream, to be used with or instead of moisturiser, can be used both morning and night, without feeling too heavy for makeup, or too light for a night moisturiser. It has a pretty odd smell to start off with, but I literally don't even notice it now, so as a smellophobe it does tick all the boxes. It isn't perfumed, witch for sensitive skin, or dry patches is something necessary, as it doesn't irritate or provoke the skin; It actually feels quite soothing and calming on the skin, as well to calm down any over sensitivity. The cream is a chemical cream, and I've been doing a lot of research recently on organic skin care and chemical, and from what I can gather chemical skincare is a lot less harsh on your skin as the molecules breaking down problems in your skin are a lot less small than organic molecules, so you skin will be able to take it a lot less harshly. And, another thing - I'm literally unleashing the Whoppie in me and praying to the balconies; My skin has cleared up like it's nobodies business. There's literally no spots at all. I've never been so spot free in my whole life! Scouts honor. (Not that i was ever a scout..) My skin has calmed down, and really done me quite proud; Thanks to this little guy!
So, if there was one product I'd recommend you put on your glad rags and race to the store, it's this one!
It is a little bit pricey, retailing at £33 but it is so worth it if you're looking for a long term moisturiser or hydration cream that really does work.
Love Meg xxx
