When it comes to lips, I'm very much a bold kind of girl, especially with red's. So it's no surprise I found myself raiding the stash for a good red lipstick one fine Tuesday morning. Having bought this; The Boujois Rouge Edition velvet in 03, I'd never actually given it a proper go, but since I've tested the water, I'm a firm fan.
There is a massive hype around these at the moment, and I can definitely see why. I have the shade 03, a bright block red. I haven't been into red's all that much lately, but I'm more than positive this has brought back all all the good memories of red! (Including Taylor Swift)
So as the name would suggest it's a velvet finish, not too glossy, and not incredibly matte either, witch is what I do tent to lean towards in the lipstick department. The application is super duper easy, just slap it on with the wand, and you're good to go; No mirrors needed what so ever! The staying power is pretty impressive, I wore this all day yesterday, I applied at at about 7.30 am, reapplied it once in the afternoon, and in very cheekily slept in it - Because I get super lazy on week days, does anyone else get like that? I even woke up a few times in the night, ate my flat mates chocolate at 3 AM, and woke up at 7. 30, and it was still there. So basically it's lasted much longer than any of my ex-boyfriends. Plus it didn't dry my lips out what so ever, again, unlike my ex-boyfriends, or is that weird to say?
Well weather you're a bold lip kind of girl, or a nude kind of girl, even though the shades are limited, I'm sure there will be one perfect for you. Plus, It's almost Christmas, they would make such incredible stocking fillers!
