Lately the world has been going pretty much crazy for maroon 90's lips thanks to Kylie Jenner and her incredible Instagram photo's. Going back to the day's of Lizzie McGuire, Spice Girls, and of course the beginning of Britney Spears, make up has dramatically evolved and I'm more glad than anyone that the 90's lip is back. I've dedicated myself fully to the cause even ending up with a slight appreciation for lip liners, witch is just absolute madness as I've always been so against them.
There are so many shades of brown nudes and maroons to select from, but I've finally found a one that I love.
Starting of with MAC Spice lip liner. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure this is the one Kylie Jenner uses. It's very much that 90's red toned maroon colour. I paint a thick line around my lips, giving them a false shape, because you know, we can't all be Anglena Jolie. For the main, I opted to go for this Maybelleine Coloursensational in 725 Tantalizing Taupe, a more pink toned maroon nude, much lighter than the lip liner to give the lips a bit more of a dimension. I just whack that inside the lips, and blend it with the lip liner. If you're looking for Kylies lipstick I know for sure she uses MAC Velvet Teddy.
So there you have it a simple 90's lip. Now all I need is my scooby key rings and Groovy chick wall paper, and I'm back to 5 year old me.
