If like me you're a sufferer of an oily scalp, this post is for you! I've spend years of my life getting up at 5.30 AM to wash my hair, as unfortunately for me my hair gets super oily, very quickly. However, as my weeks are pretty full on, I literally have no commitment to getting up at that time in the morning, so I've swapped my hair washing mornings for hair washing evenings, and it's a whole new lease of life for me. I know people say washing your hair every day is really bad for your hair, but with hair like mine you really need to, plus I've never had any problems with it. As I've said, evening showers; mornings are so much easier, however that hasn't helped to combat my oily scalp, so I've turned to dry shampoo for the answer. When this new routine came about, I was all for Batiste dry shampoo, but I found it made my hair really tacky, and really white! Plus, I'd go through bottles and bottles at a time, witch ended up getting pretty expensive, so I wanted a product that did the job well, and lasted for a long time. I was cruising the lush shelves in November last year for bath bombs, and a lady that works there was telling me about using the body butters in her hair, and I explained to her I have a really oily scalp, so she recommended me the No Drought dry shampoo. I've heard of using talkin powder as an absorber for oil on the scalp before, and I did try it once or twice, and completely dismissed it, but I though, if it's £8 I'll never get back, at least I tried to make a difference! Slightly over dramatic, but oh well!
I tried it the next morning, scattered some in my hair roots, and massaged it in until it was completely invisible. It didn't leave a ghostly white residue witch I was really impressed about, it did however leave a mess down my t-shit, so if you're going to use this product, use it before changing into your day clothes! As the day went on I didn't feel it getting tacky, or making my scalp super itchy, it was just very comfortable. It also kept the oil at bay. witch is the most important thing for me!
For me this product was so worth the investment, as it's pretty much an every day staple, especially coming up to summer, when its really hot and sticky. I also think a mini bottle of this would be perfect for festival weekends,
Love Meg xxx
