Dr Jart BB Beauty Balm SPF 25

As the UK hasn't quite caught up with the rest of the world, if it wasn't for Starbucks cool lime refreshers and insane amount of holiday status', I probably wouldn't realise that it's actually Summer! Especially since it's always Autumn on the Vampire Diaries witch I'm totally binge watching right now, and I'm not even sorry! However, it is summer, even though the Autumn lover inside me is screaming in rage, I've decided to embrace this summer, and by embrace I mean stay in doors where no insects can get me, and wear factor 50 at all times! Though I do pretty much make up shop for summer, as I'm all for a light airy finish on my grill, even though I could do with the extra layers for warmth.
One thing I'll be armed with this summer is the Dr Jart BB Beauty Balm, which I actually bought in November last year on a pit stop to Boots before work whilst picking up the Taylor Swift perfume, casual. The reason why I didn't love this in the winter; Believe it or not I'm even more paler then than I am now, witch is pretty darn pale! And even the lightest shade wasn't light enough. But I have held of and waited for a while for the sun to warm my skin up so I can wear this. Usually people are anxious to change foundation shade in the summer, yet I'll just be happy to fit into my ivory/porcelain shades! For those of you who have no idea of the concept of a beauty balm, it's basically a light base, with slight coverage, with some good old skin care benefits thrown in there for good measure.
If I could give my spotty, slightly more sarcastic 15 year old self anything, it would be this product. When I was in school I just wanted to cover my skin at all costs, I seriously wish this was in my life so I could have the coverage I desired but it could also contribute to clearing up the dreaded acne I carried - and still do carry all up in my face. If you're looking for a full coverage foundation - Look the other way! But if you want a day time wear, that's light, even on the skin, with a medium coverage this could be the balm for you! The only problem I find is it makes my already intensely oily skin even more intensely oily, but believe me I'd pick oily over dry any day!

Love Meg xxx
